I spent a week playing Closing Time over and over. Great introduction to Tom Wait’s music. Now, I downloaded his other albums, and I can’t wait to familiarize myself with them the way I did with Closing Time.
Careful, James, listen to anything post-Swordfishtrombones and you might get a nasty surprise! Just remember, he might get grizzled and hard and percussive and all circus-freak-show-y but he never forsakes lyrical brilliance and melody :)
