I’ve had to leave home prematurely meaning I can’t watch stuff on my laptop for the next week so I may as well submit my vote now.. I was hoping to watch more than this, but I will catch up with a few of the ones I missed once I’m home again (there are a few I’m still excited to check out). It’s just SO nice to be watching silent films again.

Stuff I’m voting for:
1. Seven Chances (Buster Keaton) ★★★★✰
Battleship Potemkin (Sergei Eisenstein) ★★★★✰
The Gold Rush (Charles Chaplin) ★★★★✰
Strike (Sergei Eisenstein) ★★★★✰

Stuff I’m NOT voting for:
Go West (Buster Keaton) ★★★✰✰
Voice of the Nightingale (Wladyslaw Starewicz) ★★★✰✰
Variety (Ewald André Dupont) ★★★✰✰
The Unholy Three (Tod Browning) ★★✰✰✰

Let me just throw in here: WHY THE F*** IS THERE STILL NO REGION 1 DVD OF THE BIG PARADE? It was a huge success back in 1925, breaking the box-office record held by Birth of a Nation.
I remember when VHS editions of The Big Parade and The Crowd were released in the early 1990’s. I saw The Crowd and and was knocked out by it but never got around to seeing The Big Parade. Warner’s, please, PLEASE do the right thing and finally release these two on DVD!
