I didn’t quite get Design for Living on first viewing several years ago, finding the pacing sluggish, but I rewatched it recently (the beautiful new Criterion edition) and was just bowled over. Too funny! I don’t know what I was thinking the first time around. Unjustly overshadowed by Trouble in Paradise.
