What an interesting year! I see some of my least favorite movies among the choices here. As my sainted mother always said, “To each his own”! I was living in San Diego in the early 80s, and the only film that made me feel nostalgic for NY was:

Not a fairy tale as the title might suggest but a powerful melodrama with historical and political background and a flashback narrative structure far more sophisticated and effective than Raging Bull. There was a streaming link somewhere with English subs.
