If you haven’t ever had a strike against you, then YouTube should now let you upload films as long as two hours long I think. So if you can get them on to YouTube that would be great.
ys indicated to me that he does not have the ability to get his films on YouTube. I said that was ok and we’d help him out. If anyone has a link to Tropical Fish send it to me. Or if you want to offer to upload it yourself let us know here.
In the past, I’ve uploaded a full film on Vimeo and password protected it (so it wouldn’t get taken down). I think the file size limit is 500mb for free users (as in non-premium Vimeo users).
I’ll give Tropical Fish a go if no one has link – it’ll give me a chance to figure out how to do softsubs
Awesome. Yeah just try to upload it to Youtube first without any subs and then if you have the sub file you should be able to actually attach it to the file in YouTube. It’s kind of something new they added within the last year I believe.
You have my sword!
anybody knows how can i find English subs for lust for gold ?
Vahid, the youtube link for Lust for Gold on the blog has English subtitles hardsubbed.
i can’t watch through youtube,it is filter here.i have to find the subs
Vahid, I don’t know about soft subs, but I’ll see if if I can share the hardsubbed version with you through my dropbox account.
ok,thanks
This is a public shout out and thank you to Meg who has uploaded three films so far. We are so thankful for you!
I am most happy to do it, I might not find time to watch & vote in all the matches but very willing to hunt down films and upload them for others’ viewing pleasure. Just PM me your “requests” for any you’re missing:):)
I’m really excited about presenting Frederick Wiseman’s Public Housing for the World Cup. Unfortunately, my enthusiasm for film is only matched by my illiteracy when it comes to downloading and such tech issues. I would appreciate any assistance that can be offered in helping make this film accessible to the MUBI public at large. Thanks!
^ yeah, because, er…it’s not available at the easiest available place…
I think I may have a link for public housing, but I’m going to have to do some searching. Will get back.
Nope. What I thought was it, was something completely different.
can someone please help twodeadmagpies and I with our Village People Radio Show? :O
The link for “La nación clandestina” with English subs is now available in the blog.
There’s a better quality version of The Forbidden Door now up on the blog. Thanks Meg!
what’s going on with Village People, is it still needed?
I think Javier is working on that one.
Meg, I had problems with the file: It was corrupted.. I’m trying to look for some other options. I’ll PM you.
Village People Radio Show is on YouTube but blocked in the USA and maybe other places. It is working in Australia at least.
I’m going to try to get a copy up on Vimeo as well.
poop. thanks riss.
Is it working in the UK by chance Sally?
i can’t check right now…..but if it’s not working in the US then it doesn’t really matter where else it is working, does it?
Well, we’ll find a way to get it working in the US, but if most other people outside the US can see it right now then that is good.
okay. village people radio show appears to work in the uk.

Question about the uploading of films. I’ve just learned that some of my submissions got in, and I was wandering the best way to put them online. I have each of them in dvd, so I was planning to copy the dvd on my computer and then transfer the folders in a .avi file with english subtitles integrated. But next?
I don’t have a software to split the movie in 9 or 10 parts (I’m using a MAC, the only one I have wrote credit of the software all over the movie). I saw some movie on youtube or other site in only one video of like an hour and a half long. If I wanna do this, what’s the best site and the best way? Can you suggest me a software?
Thanks for the tips!
