It’s true. Zodiac is like the Al Gore of this poll.

To be perfectly frank, Vertigo is the film that really won.

i think sansho’s gonna win this thing. kenji should be very happy
my favorite mizo is ugetsu followed by life of oharu followed by sisters of the gion, then story of the late chrysanthemums, then sansho
You have to see The Crucified Woman. Easily the best for me although I like most of what I’ve seen from him.
yeah there’s a bunch more i need to see
I haven’t seen much myself.
Being at the bottom of the list before the last round was the best thing that could happen to Sansho. I once regarded it as the greatest film ever (now merely one of the greatest ever), so this last vote was for that. My favorites, apart from Sansho, are Sister of the Gion, Osaka Elegy, The Magician and Straits of Love and Hate. As for my other (more regular) vote, also something of a “Mizoguchian” melodrama (even if I personally find those similarities to be entirely superficial), I hope it scraps through and makes the bottom rung of the top 20.
+2 Pierrot le Fou
-1 Le Samourai
-1 Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Say what?
Hey, Jean-Marc: The list of films available to vote for is on page 102, I believe.
I’m really glad City of Pirates made it in after all my efforts in the early rounds, before others joined in voting for it… but I’ll never forgive myself for letting Day of the Dead go without a fight. I know it could have made it, if only I had given it a chance.
Death in the Land of Encantos +2

-1 The Executioner
-1 Charulata

Citizen Kane?
It’s true. Zodiac is like the Al Gore of this poll.
Umm, no. More like the Donald Trump of this poll. Just a clown with a lot of money with no real merit or substance that no one would’ve voted for.
A Man Escaped +2
Seeing what is left, I think this was a nice idea that turned out to be underwhelming.
Archie Del Mundo
