I’m in the UK and I don’t know Easycinema. I have a friend who has a system – a BT something or other box connected to the TV – where one can download films and watch them for £3.65 each and the choice isn’t inspiring. The choice of films on The Auteurs contains some fairly obscure films not available on DVD in the UK. I just watched Haneke’s The Castle on The Auteurs, and this is only available in the UK in a £50 boxed set. I’m just about to watch an Arrnaud Desplechin film from 1996 which is listed on Amazon starting at £39.50 and for which Lovefilm says there’s a long wait. £3 seems pretty good to me for such an interesting and eclectic choice of films

Surely online films without extras should be cheaper than £3? I can go to easycinema and get the DVD for £1.99 with extras and watch it un-pixelated on a very big screen. What is the incentive for me to watch a film on a tiny screen but still pay over the odds? i don’t get it.
I would stop easycinema and buy films from here if they were say £1.50. The £3 does not seem competitive to me at all.
Am i missing something here?
