This has probably been done before but I would put forward these five (please note I am no actor!!!):
Villains have the most fun ;)
I would love to play the anti-hero most of all, Jack Torrance and Hannibal Lecter are great shouts
Maybe Pennywise from IT
Characters I know I could probably play at the moment.
I once had to change into a rhinoceros. Michael Palin’s leftist peasant at loggerheads with Arthur in Holy Grail, and other Python sketches would be fun. I would need to give this more thought.
Move over Larry, that was crap
that’s more like it
The male lead in One Deadly Summer, opposite Isabelle Adjani. Purely to test my acting skills, of course
in 1983, i was young too
or alternatively the male lead in Belle Epoque
Either the Dennis Price role or the Guinness ones in Kind Hearts and Coronets
Roger O Thornhill in North by Northwest.
ooh i love that film
My other favourite screen alter ego, Fred Astaire with beautiful Cyd Charisse
Belmondo in Pierrot Le Fou!
Michel Albertini as André in L’Amour Braque. I can’t find a good non-NSFW image where you can see his face. Still… crazy bastard… would have been amazing to be in this movie with this role. Running around and screaming.
Another five, because I had to…
I’m a troubled, highly disturbed individual…
I’m too old for the part now, but i would have liked to play Taira Kyomori in Tales of the Taira Clan.
Or Terao Akira’s part as Misawa Ihei (right) in After the Rain
a beautiful film
A couple of scenes in the film make me think of Hokusai
but Hiroshige especially
first > manon in les bons debarras. but i am too old now. that canadian accent is absolutely seducing.
Ah, the name reminds me of one of my favourite books Manon Lescaut- the Chevalier des Grieux is a part i would have liked to play, not sure if there’s been a decent film of it though
