The movie was great, but whimsical flourishes – like adding sprawling, goofy guitar music to the big fight sequence – I found annoying and all too prevalent in film culture as a whole. I suppose this moment could be attributed to style, but this kind of juxtaposition is such a popular device it makes me think of hollywood.
