A possible Criterion release for Malick's "Badlands" (1973)?

I heard a rumor floating around that after the acquisition of “Downhill Racer”, this is one of the other Warner films that would be making it to Criterion.

Is anyone in contact with the enigmatic “Mulvaney”, and would they be in a position to confirm or at least hint at this?

The only dvd available is a nasty-looking transfer.

This was just added to the teasing, mouthwatering “Forthcoming Criterion Releases” certainties list. Does ANYONE have any info on this?

I own that \“nasty-looking transfer,\” and it has served me well over the years. How much clearer can dust get?

I’m happy enough with the UK disc – it’s got a great 25-minute doc with interviews with Spacek, Sheen, Jack Fisk, and Billy Weber.

well that documentary (and “rosy fingered dawn”) would make great additions to a blu ray edition of this movie…if fox allowed it to maybe warner would say yes also
