I hadn’t seen Jessica Lange in anything in years, so I was surprised when I checked out American Horror Story. Not that it’s a bad thing, I admire those who haven’t aged well and still leave themselves alone, skipping plastic surgery, but I was still surprised.
I think some of the worst cases are those who have tried to overcompensate by going overboard on plastic surgery. Even though that’s not something i’m interested in doing, I don’t find it disgusting to get a little botox or maybe a little tuck here and there, but there should be a limit on how many cosmetic surgeries a person can have (or maybe just better practices in self editing).
I’m just shy of 30, so I consider myself young, but I’m already at the “I don’t give a s*%t” stage.
Aged well…
Jane Fonda
Catherine Deneuve
Meryl Streep
Anne Bancroft
Aged BADDDDDDDLLLLY:
Jeanne Moreau
Tallulah Bankhead
Anita Ekberg
No pictures? :(
I’m sure Ilyena will appreciate this:
Btw this is “Aged well.”
Diane Keaton
End of discussion.
Expanding the topic beyond those actresses who were “gorgeous” famous beauties -
Edith Scob
Can’t post a photo since I’m on my phone, but Helen Mirren is so beautiful. She always has been, but I think even more so now.
Jane Fonda has had cosmetic surgery work done on her.
As have Sophia Loren, Faye Dunaway, and probably over half of them still in the public eye.
I win.

Aged Well:
The ever beautiful Isabelle Huppert

Not Well:
Brigette Bardot

Yeesh…
this is a sexist topic as i’m sure you’re all well aware. actresses aren’t allowed to age naturally, it’s in the contract. at least bardot refuses to have surgery. good for her
^I knew that was comin eventually!
hehe
Cameron Dias is a sixty year old face with a hot young body
very confusing
Besides which, Bardot is 77. How many of us will look so great at that age? And how many of us will ever look like this:

HOLY TOLEDO OHIO! Totally get 77 being up there, but that pic of Bardot is a ghastly…
i guess she figures she’s done her time as an object for yr admiration ;)
luckily her films are still available
Barbara Stanwyck aged well
The answer is: Liv Ullmann
Marilyn Monroe
@Cole I’m right with you on Liv Ullmann as well. What about also Bergman regular Bibi Anderson?
this is a sexist topic as i’m sure you’re all well aware. actresses aren’t allowed to age naturally, it’s in the contract.
I came here to say this.
Fuck this thread. Talk about their ACTING, not their looks. You all are gross.
This is a horror show!
Sharmila Tagore

Louise Fletcher looks terrible in Shameless but I think she is supposed to look that way.
“this is a sexist topic as i’m sure you’re all well aware. actresses aren’t allowed to age naturally, it’s in the contract.
I came here to say this."
Third. But at least we can balance it with male actors who have aged badly if we must play that game.

But don’t be nice to Bardot. Her present external ugliness is matched by her inner ugliness. She’s an old racist hag.
yeah bardot is a pretty nasty racist. my god, those man-boobs on nicholson!
So since this is turning into that sort of thread, what do you ladies (or men for that matter) think about Prince? Incredibly sexist womanizer, or proud advocate for the modern woman?
“You don’t have to be beautiful
To turn me on
I just need your body baby
From dusk till dawn”
haha prince is too androgynous to be sexist. besides that he always had women in his band. there are far worse misogynists in rock n roll
so what’s yr point?
Drunken Father Figure of Old
It makes me happy when I see a recent interview with an actress who was gorgeous in the 60’s (or whenever) and is still attractive now. Here are some:
ACTRESSES WHO HAVE AGED WELL:

Gena Rowlands:
Emmanuelle Riva:

Constance Towers:

Silvia Pinal (although her makeup and hair-do choices are questionable):

Anna Karina (in 1996):

But, sometimes the years don’t serve them well…

AND THOSE WHO HAVEN’T:
Brigitte Bardot:
Anna Karina (in more recent years):

and, it pains me to say, Monica Vitti:

(although it may just be that I can’t get past those glasses!)
Name some others!
