29, SLIS grad student. I graduate in one month. Wahoo/Oh dear lord, I’m terrified out of my mind!
21
I’ve switched majors too many times. Game Programming —> Game Design —> 3D Animation —> Fine Art —> Art History —> Film Making (which I think I’ll finally stick with!)
I’m destined to be in school forever. D:
33. Doctoral student.
I’ve BEEN in school forever. Why? It’s fun, I guess! Haha! I’ll continue working as a professor too, so I don’t pan on ever leaving.
23, One semester left on my BA
43; M.A., English and Philosophy. I am now realizing how very, very old I am. You are all BABIES.
As Liz Lemon would say, I have to go talk to some food about this. I may or may not be back. Ahem.
You’re not that old, but the internet really does tend to be dominated by the under 50 crowd. Won’t see too many people beyond that hanging around on forums and whatnot. It’s a generational thing.
32, college drop-out.
“Not that old”. Thanks, Bobby. Now I’m going to go eat MORE.
I kid. I’m goddamned fabulous for 43! I don’t look a day over 42. But now I feel like a grandmother. So if this turns into a Forum on Eating Well and Staying Regular and Staying Away from Bad Boys and Don’t Pick that Up You Don’t Know Where It’s Been, I’m clearly the person to turn to.
Now I’ve got Liz Lemon’s “I’m 37. Please don’t make me go to Brooklyn!” plea stuck in my head for the rest of the day. Not that I’m complaining.
Born the same year as Puffy. In the timeless words of Frank Zappa, “I got a high school diploma.”

38, Art School Drop-out
Pursuing filmmaking as a living. Wrote and directed several short films, 1st AD on two others. Grip and P.A. on a few features. ON-set is my film school.
Rodney, your response was hilarious. I mean I feel you, as they say.
As I said, I’m, like, Moses-era old.
im 25 (26 next week), have a BA in media art, within which i focussed on film and wrote my dissertation on john cassavetes, entitled “the answer must come from the artist himself”. i made a few short films, including one that was featured in art forum magazine (an avant-garde war epic based on a talking heads song), but have since decided that rather than take the film production route i would rather do my MA in film theory and screenwriting whilst working independently on my own short films. i start my MA next year and cant wait, literally, so have gotten hold of a copy of last years course breakdown and decided to work my way through the modules that im not too clued up on prior to starting my studies. eventually i would like to be in a position work on my own films, or lecture, seeing as production is a bitch to get into and i dont really like the idea of working within the film industry.

Whoa – at 53, it looks like I’m the oldster here. You’d never know it by my behavior. BA in music (synths) from Brown.
And Wendy, far from being old, you’re pretty much too young for me to date with a clear conscience. :)
22 – film studies student, doing my last semester/capstone in screenwriting
35 BS in Biology and in general a lover of art
30, MFA in creative writing emphasis in poetry. I have B.A.s in creative writing and sociology.

It seems to me that most cinephiles have a thing for higher education, so I propose this informal poll. Post your age and level of education. I’ll get things started:
20, working on a BA in art history and going to declare a second major in either cinema or world studies, concentration in world film. Then grad school. Hoping to remain in the cradle of academia for awhile.
