Well it “looks” good, but all of Burton’s films “look” good. After his last few films I’ll be skeptical till I see it.
Looks interesting. We’ll see.
CGI overdose.
I think it looks really good. I think with this and Avatar, we will see the 3D live-action film revolution.
Double post :(
Yeah ok that’s nice, but first things first, where is the Avatar trailer????
Let’s hope Johnny Depp isn’t playing Alice.
I’m torn on this one…I despise Tim Burton, but I have a childhood love of Lewis Carroll. I never usually waste my time on Blockbusters, but we’ll see. I have nearly a year to decide.
Uh oh, it just got removed.
Here, try this link instead.

er I’m sure it’s readily available by now. I wish Burton could try and make some more original films instead of superimposing his style on other visions.
Could not agree with Josh R more on this one…it looks great…but so did Planet of the Apes & Charlie & the Chocolate Factory….two duds full of great little scenes that cobbled together make dynamite trailers. Don’t get me wrong, I love Ed Wood, Mars Attacks!, Sleepy Hollow and Big Fish…but Tim Burton has proven to be very erratic.
Another thread on this film already, huh? With the fourth consecutive film, the Burton-Depp-Bonham Carter collaboration is getting fatiguing.
Yeah, I’ll see it but I’m not excited. I understand the marketing forces behind it but when the trailer looks like it should be called “The Mad Hatter Movie” I start to get bored with the whole thing. I hope it’s good though.
Dear me, I hope it’s good.
I feel that Tim Burton has been doing the same thing for years now and just tweaking the plots a little bit.
am a big fan of carrols “alice in wonderland” and “through the looking glass” and watching this trailer made me think the movie wont be good. i know a movie that is an adaptation has to be seen as what it is, independent from the book, but i think he doesnt get the essence form the book at least for what i see in the trailer
:(

Part of me found the trailer a bit pointless and the film looks like it is a freak 3-D experience, its not what I first imagined when I read that Burton shall be directing it, at first I thought a new version of ‘Sleepy Hollow’. Sadly, to me, it looks as if it does not have that sophisticated feel which I expected. Good none the less.
Unbelievable. When I heard they were doing an Alice in Wonderland film, I thought of three directors that could do it justice – Gilliam, Del Toro, and Burton. So I was happy to hear Burton was doing this film and not somebody like Chris Columbus or Ron Howard. But damn, this trailer is bad. Like really awful. After Sweeney Todd, I’m not sure I’m going to see this film, regardless of the IMAX 3D hype. Unless the critical praise is overwhelming or I’m incredibly bored on a Sunday afternoon in March, I wouldn’t be surprised if I skipped this film.
I’ll never trust Burton again. Not after what he did with “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”.
Haha – Well, we can always just rewatch Beetlejuice and Pee Wee and take solace that Burton used to be good.
looks like shit. You might hope that Burton, who is at times a genius, might have gone a different way visually. I cannot comment on a film I have not seen but the trailer looked ominously “crappish”.
Charlie was a travesty! It was dumb to remake it anyway. Even if the original is not in line with the book…
I personally would like to see less CGI and more Beetlejuice/Edward Scissorhands style effects.Basically, when Burton went all CG (and bad CG at that) he started going south, in my opinion. But I can’t help but like him nonetheless.
The CGI twins look incredibly stupid ( forget the names of their characters)
Sob !! ….I think I’ll go back to Disney.
