Any opinions on Raph Fiennes “Coriolanus”? I’m curious about it.

Berlinale was great this year, especially the “Forum”

Corialanus was ok, Ralph Fiennes was awesome, but the movie only ok, I would rate it 6/10

“October” was unbelievable. Maybe the greatest film screening I’ve ever been too. The only things I saw at the festival were the retrospective screenings. I wasn’t able to see any new films. Kinda wish I saw this “Tabu” that everyone is raving about. I also wanted to see “In the Land of Blood and Honey”.

i was at berlinale this year! still can’t believe it! my plan to visit all of the major film festivals in the next few years is working, yay! as far as films go, i was completely blown away by greek :meteora:. it reminded me of sergei parajanov a lot. stunningly beautiful images, with some outstanding animation in between. the film was so beautiful it made me cry! i was walking around berlin for a few hours after, it was a grey, muddy day and i had this unmatched feeling of happiness that only film gives me! another good one was spanish :delay:. reminded me of kieslowski a lot because of its moral ambiguity. i lucked out and got a ticket to the sold out guy maddin’s new film :keyhole: and it was as nightmarish and bizarre and funny as his other films. it was a perfect ending to my festival!
and the retrospective of early soviet cinema :red dream factory: was truly outstanding. saw :aelita: and :outskirt: and want to see more of the films from that time.

I’ve seen “Aelita” before. Would have loved to see it in a new print on the big screen. I wish I could have watched that entire Red Dream Factory series.

I was @OCTOBER press screening in the morning, and it was such a beautiful beginning of the Friday 10th and wonderful experience it was that in a moments, I’m completely forgot that the orchestra was in front of the screen… amazing indeed.

“In the Land of Blood and Honey” is crap, beside that Serbian war crimes moment, it’s a waste of everything, talents, money, time… and no characters at all.

“Xingu”, new dela Iglesia, “Bestiarie”, “Marley”, 4/5 stars each, but the best which I saw at 62nd Berlinale was METEORA! Also, I left “Barbara” press screening after 30 minutes. Don’t ask me why, but for me this is some kind of intention to repeat the German cinema success of the LIFE OF OTHERS few years ago.

You can see more ratings at my profile.

Seriously Meteora, I even had no intention on seeing that. I’ll check it when it comes out.
