I would assume you aren’t referring to this DVD cover because it’s fantastic.
lol at people who care about dvd covers
It’s visual art that says a lot about the film Allan. And you are smug.
How about the film? That was disappointing.
The sound design was really good. The Scarlett Johansson scene was perfect.
I liked the film a lot. And I think if you watch the film, the cover matches it perfectly. Kind of like the cover for Last Year at Marienbad. People complained about it when it came out (“WTF? Why is it blank and all white? What are they thinking!”) but if you see the film, you understand what the cover is all about.
Whether I am smug or not (which I am of course) doesn’t change the fact that a dvd’s front cover is absolute in it’s irrelevance to me, when I buy dvds I buy films to watch not front covers to gawp at – never judge a dvd by it’s cover, dvd ‘art’ doesn’t ever tell me much about a film.
Andrei Rublev could come in a dvd with photos of shit all over it and I would not care
“lol at people who care about dvd covers”
lol at people who still call themselves Communists.
Vocalities
It may be just a cover but it’s a legit subject for conversation. It’s the artwork representing the film. You have to look at it for the rest of the time you own it. Might as well make it badass.
Imagine if it had the floating heads with orange and blue tints like everything else.
