I would have to say my 2-Disc Once Upon a Time in the West. Commentary, 3 Documentaries, Wide-screen, Restored, Subtitles and Filmographies for the cast and crew.
Can you say, Mr. Arkadin? 3 versions of the film, documentary, the radio episodes, commentary, interviews, and outtakes … not to mention the novel is packaged as well.
And Fanny and Alexander is an obvious one. 2 versions of the film, commentary, conversation with Bergman, and documentaries.
The Blade Runner 4-Disc set is pretty impressive.
Peckinpah has some great editions as well (well, maybe Cross of Iron is a bit barebones, but it does have commentary, such as it is, heh). The Cassavetes’ Five Films box set. Lynch’s Lime Green box set.
