One of many of Anno’s excruciatingly long takes – which I do tend to like.
the ballroom scene in hitchcock’s notorious……..:)
i never, ever talk during movies…but after that long take in Hunger (the conversation with the priest), I turned to my husband and said Holy Fuck that was one long take! Actors on stage do that all the time, obviously…not sure why it made such an impression on me.
“The Trigger Effect” opening is a sly and entertaining shot.
Long take at the end of The Passenger.
Joe Wright does a lot of great long takes, in general, actually, in Atonement, Hanna, and even Pride and Prejudice.
Also Rope!
The Atonement Dunkirk beach scene is definitely worth a note because it is just beautiful.
It is not the longest take ever but for an action scene it is incredibly impressive long-take.
Some of Angelopoulos most immaculate long takes occur in The Hunters. They have to be seen to be believed.
oldboy corridor scene
Already posted on the first page but always worth a rewatch :)
the best succession of long takes I’ve seen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8vRfiMejoM
