Werewolf of Washington
ping pong playa

Run Lola Run
Searching for Bobby Fischer
The Natural
White Men Can’t Jump
Big Fish
Do the Right Thing
La Dolce Vita
and definitely…
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (I confess, I didn’t catch this the first time I saw it and apparently neither did the ratings board)
SCUM. There. That’s what it’s all about. Great one-word title.
Among the ‘Ilses’, my favorite is still ‘Ilse: The Harem Keeper of the Oil Sheikhs’
‘Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death’
And, to really flip a beloved icon upside down: ‘Queen Kong’ (gay man gets on board to sail with an all-girl crew to…..well you know. And the film does exist, and it is not a porn flick. )
Requiem for a Secret Agent – a low budget Bond ripoff, and not a great film, by any means, but that title is still fantastic.
This may not be the greatest title, but one that I really like is “Lost in Translation”. At first, it seems to be about the Japanese – English translation, but the second time I watched it, I got the relevance to the story. The love story between Murray and Johansen is lost on the observer, as you have to be in their shoes to feel what they feel.
Not amazing, but very fitting to the movie, and not evident at first always.
The Spirit of the Beehive
There Will Be Blood
I Drink Your Blood
I Eat Your Skin (1964)
Me and my roommate nearly died from laughing when we saw this at the video store.
A Man Called Apocalypse Joe
At Home Among Strangers, A Stranger Among His Own
So Young, So Lovely, So Vicious…
All Men Are Mortal
9/11: The Falling Man (which is almost a complete rip-off of DeLillo)
Battle in Heaven
Oedipus Wrecks
Cannibal Holocaust.
Chungking Express.
Man Bites Dog.
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (we can thank Thompson for that one).
Lawrence of Arabia.
Iron Monkey.
A Fistful of Dollars.
Let the Right One In.
Gymkata. (Can someone tell me how short Kurt Thomas is, because apparently his height is curiously disclosed?)
hah, and thank you raysquirrel for adding Don’t Be A Menace…
That movie is so classic.
Shinichi

The Godfather (only first 1)
Floating Weeds
Hoop Dreams
I’m Not There
Adaptation
Rashomon (The Castle Gate)
