I know that I’m going to get some really hateful responses to this post. The other night I happened to see The Prisoner of Zenda with Ronald Colman. The last time I saw this film was when I was a child. I loved it. It’s going to be one of my perennial favorites if not seen more often than once a year.
I know most of you think it’s the epitomy of corny movies which were made to primarily entertain children. Well, grab me a grape soda and a box of popycock because it was one of the most entertaining films I have seen in a while. A little comic relief is good for the soul. Are there others out there who revere Bergman but sneak in The Prisoner of Zenda when you have gotten as far as you can get with “the heavy stuff”? Fess up now!!!
