Box Set or Single Disc?

So, I’ve heard the Box set of Brazil isn’t anamorphic, and I’m trying to decide if I should go with the single disc release, or get the box set. Or, should I hold off, if a Blu-ray seems likely?

@XTIAN: There is no doubt that Brazil will get a Blu-ray release but when….who knows? But if you had to make a choice…depends on how important special features are. I purchased the blu-box set of “Brazil” for $15.00 on eBay and have seen it going for under $20.00 several times.

Yeah, it’s on Amazon for 22 or so. I have to confess I’ve never seen the film, but I love Gilliam, and I’m sure I’ll enjoy it. I have more fun with the special features on Criterion releases of films I love, (Naked Lunch<3) so I’ll probably get the Blue box.

It’s not on the top of my list, that’s for sure. I’m waiting anxiously for Videodrome and Antichrist to get dated on Blu-ray! I just finished Hoop Dreams, and ordered For All Mankind and Crumb. I’m on a documentary kick. Hoop Dreams was fantastic, I hope the other two are half as good!

Brazil is good. Hold out for a Blu-ray, I’m sure Criterion will put one out of that film.
