I saw this and was grossed out, then realized how appropriate it is, then heard that Marina Zenovich is already in the process of making another Polanski movie, which makes me wonder if Ratner has any fucking clue what he’s doing. I kind of bet the Ratner thing doesn’t happen.
I cant say Bio Docs really interest me too much, although I have nothing against them. I could care less about Ratner too, who knows, maybe he brings a different talent to a lower budget doc feature….
i hope this is not happening…ratner is a mediocre director doing a sequel of a great doc about an amazing director. Has failure written all over.
Ratner typifies the careerist, self-aggrandizing Hollywood blowhard, skillful only in douchebaggery.
Ratner and Polanski are friends?
I don’t even know what to think about that.
Well, maybe this is Polanski’s punishment. LOL.
@Aaron: That’s my assumption because he roped him in to a RUSH HOUR movie for a cameo. (unrelated: He had a curious cameo in QUIET CHAOS as well). And from Polanski’s point-of-view he must have had friendship dangling over him to agree because he probably didn’t need the money and I can’t see how he thought that would have bolstered his reputation by appearing in a Ratner movie.
I once made a wager that a Ratner movie will never, ever win an Oscar (I qualified that statement by saying an Oscar which wasn’t something like Best Blockbuster Sound Design or Best Assistant Costume Cleaner). I wonder whether his documentary may gain him some cred and acclaim. Unlikely but still…
WHAT? Which Rush Hour? Don’t get me wrong, I’m no Ratner fan but I did enjoy Rush Hour 1 & 2 on a couple of hangover days, Chris Tucker is really funny to me, he’s got a great comedic rhythm.. BUT, I don’t remember seeing Polanski in either of the movies.
Rush Hour 3, Aaron.
Ah, Rush Hour 3 was reallly bad and I didn’t pay much attention to it, I probably shut it off or fell asleep.

I read that Brett Ratner is going to direct a sequel to ROMAN POLANSKI: WANTED AND DESIRED incorporating all the latest hoohah into the film. Really…How is this one going to turn out with Ratner behind the camera?
Ratner is a friend of Polanski. was zenovich a friend of polanski?
