I wish Nohea and Post-Kyo would post more often.
I know you crave attention, but this is ridiculous, man.
I hear so many cool things about Fredo
fredo, you’re nothing to me now. you’re not a brother, you’re not a friend. I don’t want to know you or what you do. I don’t want to see you at the hotels, I don’t want you near my house. >:(
Santino is Fredo you morons.
d’oh ben. what was yr first clue
and i will thank u not to call us morons! we are the women of mubi!! D:
Cheers to all the great female posters one site, past and present. Our female posters (those brave enough to acknowledge such) often bring a note of sanity and reason to these crazy, male-dominated boards where male egos often scream for attention.
Here are some others that have been around for awhile that I always respected (although I’m forgetting some, too): Ally the Manic List Maker, Prudence, Nohea, Christine, Myra, Kim Packard. Yeah, the gals here are all cool.

^Ahem…I am not so sure about this.
And how can you guys forget Laali? I don’t think she was ever active on the forums but her lists informed me more about Indian cinema than I could have ever known.
I forgot about Ally!! One of the first people on here I followed.
When is the next topless posting night?
House of Leaves dictates that……
nobody dictates anything. u can be topless whenever u want
feel free ;)
I am unsure about how my neighbors would feel about me on the computer topless at this hour……….
Venus Sands and Mary too.
Though they don’t really post anymore.
Nice sentiment, Jazz.
Yeah only the intrepid and indefatigable women come on the forums. Most get sick of the arguing eventually though…
I think Mubi has done a great job of moderating — personal attacks are a major reason to stay away. Thank goodness the troll factor, whether true trolling or just people with a bone to pick and passive aggressive tendencies (oo boy, does that shit crop up in internet land where you can hide behind the computer screen in some far away place), has diminished considerably.
As for topless, go look at your own top, gentlemen.
Bijoux said, I forgot about Ally!! One of the first people on here I followed.
Me too! (She used to post a lot more on the STN thread.)
Also, what happened to Venus Sands? She did a great job of organizing the movie discussion threads, Simultaneous Watching and Analysis
And Laali is wonderful. Agreed, Rohit.
I know Venus in person. She’s fantastic. As is Mary who I also know.
Ally I have also met when she travels out here. Wonderful person!
Hey you, Brian! :)
Pie queen is in the house! :)
I think Mubi has done a great job of moderating.
Yeah. I definitely think the insults, incivility has gone done, and that’s a good thing. I hope this will encourage more people—females and males—to participate.
um………hi and stuff.
hey, I thought I should at least stop by and make an appearance :p
I’m the resident eccentric!
Pleased to meet you!
I’m glad you did. I mentioned your awesomeness in another thread here as well (talked about how users interested in horror films should follow you) . Hope you don’t mind!!
When I mentioned we need more female in put, posters said I was just trying to get some
No, I don’t mind. I don’t post much on the forums here, maybe I should post more. I’m already pretty active over on the corrierino, everyone should check that site out, so having time on two different forums would be hectic.
I have no idea who you are! So it’s nice to meet you
You should stop in every now and then.
Gee, Uli, how’d you get reputation??
Btw, there seems to be quite a bit of horror fans here (if you didn’t know that already), so I’m sure those people (I’m not big on horror) would appreciate your participation.
Speaking of horror, I forgot to mention another terrific female poster—Mugino! I remember one discussion in particular about the Kiyoshi Kurosawa film, Pulse. She translated several scenes that I thought the subtitles seemed a bit off. Super cool!
