Chuck Norris Is So Powerful He Can Make Expendables 2 PG-13

worst news I have heard in a while:

Those who demanded Chuck Norris join the cast of “The Expendables” sequel, you got your wish but it might have come at a price – less swearing and a PG-13 rating.

Norris reportedly gave an interview to Gazeta (via AITH) and in the translated transcripts revealed the following:

“In Expendables 2, there was a lot of vulgar dialogue in the screenplay. Fot this reason, many young people wouldn’t be able to watch this. But I don’t play in movies like this. Due to that I said I won’t be a part of that if the hardcore language is not erased. Producers accepted my conditions and the movie will be classified PG-13.”

A few hours later Stallone confirmed to AICN that the PG-13 rating rumour is true and quickly defended his film saying “before your readers pass judgement, trust me when I say this film is LARGE in every way and delivers on every level. This movie touches on many emotions which we want to share with the broadest audience possible.”

No surprise that when Chuck Norris says “Jump!”, Stallone and the entire film industry ask, “How high?”

They all know:
When they see Chuck Norris,
he sees them.
And when they don’t see Chuck Norris,
they are moments away from certain death.

^haha Robert.

Chuck Norris in an Expendables movie is pretty cool though.

Yeah, I hope at the end of the film, he gathers the other’s heads under his arms and clangs their heads together – just for show…..

surely that also means the action won’t be as extreme as the first film now it has a p.g. rating

chuck is sensible influencing a non vulgar script but he still reckons bopping a fragile henchman in the brain is acceptable? it wasn’t the henchman’s fault he was bullied into a life of evil henchman duty he could have been a teacher if he was born in a nice neighbourhood

this is like a PG13 Hellraiser, very disappointing

Chuck Norris would be more palatable if he wasn’t such a right-wing pudenda. He turns seventy-two in March and the day is coming when even Hilary Duff can kick his ass.

Thank God. Now I really don’t have to see this movie.

I enjoyed the hell out of The Expendables, in part because of how over the top violent it was. Stallone wants to remove the one thing that made that film enjoyable, which saves me $15 from having to see it.

July 4th is Independence day. And the day Chuck Norris was born. Coincidence?
Don’t think so…

More importantly Robert, the Nazi’s surrendered a day after Chuck Norris was born.

Chuck Norris was born on March10, 1940. But Newt Gingrich did leave one of his wives for Chuck.

NOT TRUE!

Expendables was a great guilty pleasure action flick, full of that tough guy bravado you rarely get in big-budget action these days, and with a fine turn by Jason Statham as the second-in-command. But to make it PG-13 is to remove what makes it great – the violence. It’s like if the oft-proposed remake of The Wild Bunch was made as a PG-13 – lessening the violence destroys the point of the film.

Didn’t anyone learn anything from Conan The Destroyer? Live Free Die Hard? sort of…

PG 13… what a joke.

Chuck Norris the family values crusader patriot just endorsed Newt Gingrich, the draft-dodging adulterer.
Bruce Lee must have kicked Chuck so hard and damaged his brain.

Terry Crews was on Twitter, claiming that he kills more people in the opening scenes of “The Expendables 2” than he did in the entirety of the first movie. I’m not saying Crews is a liar (he could kill me with a bowel movement) but I don’t see how that’s even possible unless EXP2 is going to be completely bloodless. And if they’re saving the hardcore violence for an Unrated blu-ray, I’ll somehow be even more offended.

Sadly, I know I’m going to be seeing this in theaters because I’m a huge fan of Jean Claude Van Damme and I want to see him on the big screen again.

I’ve never been more pissed to read anything about a film. This isn’t the first place I’ve heard this rumor and I don’t like it. I’ve spent the better part of a decade collecting Chuck Norris Karate Commando action figures, and now I’m starting to feel like a chump for doing so.

If Chuck Norris is so concerned about potty-mouthed action films, maybe him and the Rock can team up to make The Tooth Fairy 2, and not ruin the one remaining action franchise red meat eating American men can still enjoy.

He’ll do a movie where he kick some guys real hard. They better not swear when they get hit though….. ????

wow, that could only be worse if it had Adam Sandler in drag

Yes, we want to touch the broadest audience possible. The people who blush at four letter words but hunger for broken bones and decapitations by saw blades…..

This just landed on the internets. Pretty good Sly and Jason impressions. Still a shame that they can’t budge Chuck.

Calling Newt Gingrich an adulterer is being too generous. An adulterer doesn’t leave his wife because she has a serious illness.

Only a sociopath would do that.

Dennis Brian

looks great

glad to see Van Damme in a major feature after viewing his reality show last year.

Norris sure looks bored here.

NIGHTSHIFT

Well well… that looks a’right.
PG13 probably won’t make much difference, considering the amount of killing and violence on videogames 10-12 year-olds are playing nowadays.

FabulousRice

What’s wrong with stallone looking like jack valenti here?

Joks

Supposedly the film has gone back to being R.

chad bentley

That would’ve been a goddamned shame. And I wouldn’t have forgiven Chuck for such a muck up. But as Joks says it seems the R rating is back. Being as how this is a 3 month old thread I’m sure you’re all well aware by now.

I’m not sure I’d let such a girly man be in the film in the first place…Wanting to satisfy his 12 year old fans…psh. Does he actually think he’s had that much longevity that anyone under the age of 30 even remembers who he is?

He’s along for the ride, the movies back at R where it should be so everything is cool…let’s just hope he doesn’t get in the way.

Dennis Brian

This could not have been true

as Norris is involved in the two most violent sequences in the film.

He is exceptional by the way, the best thing in a very good flick
