how can i enter this project?
Diogo, it’s officially on hold for now as far as i know. When we began we had 21 profiles posted in threads which you can read by hitting the Garage link above and scrolling down through a couple of pages. There was talk of doing more than 21 but other matters at MUBI seem to have delayed the project. Some of the interviews are coming up sporadically, however, like this one and one for Lav Diaz done by JP Carpio.
If you look through the Garage threads you can find which interviews and directors were chosen. There is also a thread for submitting questions to the intended interviewees. Those were mostly complete I believe, but if you have suggestions for great questions there is no reason why you can’t still contact those who created the profile.
Hopefully this project is not completely dead, it was a lot of fun.
Cinema 21 continues here and we have many more coming. Please contact garage by PM if you would like to submit any questions to our ever growing list of cinema 21 filmmakers. We are still in the process of contacting and scheduling filmmakers from both the list and from various MUBI members that contribute time and commitment to bring us these short films introducing us to some of the finest filmmakers in the world.

Laura, where is this up? Also, was Lafia one of the original 21 or is this a new thing? Someone involved with managing of the project had contacted me a while ago about doing some new profiles for potential prospects so I’m very interested to know if this is still a possibility.
