Excellent list. There’s always going to be a few one disagrees with, but when there are only two films out of thirty plus (‘4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 2 Days’ and ‘Russian Ark’) that I don’t really feel belong (and I can somewhat understand their inclusion) I would say the list is exceptional.
there are plenty of mistakes even in a well-made list like this but for what it’s worth,i could do without Godard from the top 10,for the love of Artemis,not everything is about Godard you academic committees!

So I thought this was kinda interesting. Our Cinematheque out here in Toronto has programmed a series where they pooled together a panel of local and international film curators, historians and archivists to vote on the what they felt were the most important contemporary and auteur driven motion pictures of the past 10 years. Considering that all this stuff is subjective, I would love to hear what everyone else thought of their list and what people would change.
