HOT.
^ Ben’s one descriptive word.
LOL
Now I have to find a thread on Gilda. I saw it for the second time recently and was like “huh?” about the resolution of the story…
heh. there is one, started by our fave mubian, vanselow. i’d say the film has no good resolution. it falls apart in the ending
‘and the green drape dress’
Wha? She just saw it in the window and couldn’t resist it . . .

I’m not touching the thread that V. started. Nope. Not gonna happen. Couldn’t be done. Wouldn’t be prudent.
haha you’re funnier than usual today, irish
i think i remember that episode! my mom loved that show
LOOOOOVE Carol Burnett!!! :D
Except I stole that one.

EDIT: I used to watch some episodes on TV Land, but always had the impression they were severely truncated to fit in the half-hour time slot.
^ LOL you ARE funnier than usual today! :D
my barbaric ninotchka
=)
ooo lots of B&W films ITT.
@J, considering that scene pretty much sums up what Drive is all about (tone, music, visual) it makes sense that you would consider it the definitive reason why you disliked it.
This is by far the best… Though I was pleasantly amused to see the Drive picture. I’m a defender of that scene.

^ HOT.
One of the most intense kisses: when Robert Forster finally lays one on Pam Grier in JACKIE BROWN.
But including theme/story/characters and all that other good stuff I have to say this is the best…
Very nice, Drew. :D
Ben you need to expand your vocabulary beyond the word “Hot.”
hawt
i was gonna say: he’s spelling it wrong lol
teehee
Nobody has probably seen this but in Jesus’ Son there is some intense making out. Stars Billy Crudup and Samantha Morton. Excellent anti/drug movie.
Ebert describes it:
“They are so screwed up that when the movie lingers on the sight of them kissing, we realize with a stir that their kissing is direct and needy, not movie-stylized. They aren’t putting on a show for the camera, but feeding at each other’s lips.”
i love that movie :’(
my favorite jack black role too. ‘look at my shoes!’
but feeding at each other’s lips.
Um, I can’t help it but this statement reminds me of the baby bird style of feeding that Alicia Silverstone does with her baby….. ewww….
He should have stopped at “They aren’t putting on a show for the camera.”
odi, are u making unprovoked attacks on ebert? yeah that is kinda gross tho :P
HA HA HA HA
I guess that I am swooping on him, in absentia, aren’t I? Ok, spank me, Ruby. :P

oh good one tommy!! ^
So I’m searching for the kissing scene(s) in Jesus’ Son and come across this clip
Had no idea Miranda July had a cameo. LOVE me some Miranda July.
odilonvert
^ That’s been parodied a million times, is probably why. But I bet back in the day that beach kiss was pretty risque.
