They’re laughing at us over there. They are reading this thread and having a good giggle.
I hate you, Criterion Collection! You’re such a tease!
Your going to feel foolish when the post up December as another Mamet.
I kind of feel foolish just because I keep checking this thread.
I have some info on a new Eclipse set. Criterion is propping up the dead bodies of Kurosawa, Truffaut, and Bergman Weekend at Bernies-style and having them direct a bunch of shit in the vein of their work from the glory years. Expect some CGI appearances from Lenaud, Mifune, and von Sydow in their prime. Keep your drawers on, boys and girls.
Who’s Lenaud?
Excuse me, Mike. I meant Léaud. See, I’m already too excited for my own good.
I’m sure their titles for December will mostly be films we already know about, such as Che. I mean, this movie came out last December and it’s still not on DVD.
Has criterion ever been this late on their announcements?
>>I mean, this movie came out last December and it’s still not on DVD.<<
Che is widely available on DVD. Has been for about a month now.
Gimme Shelter BD posted
So is that it?
I certainly hope not. One format addition and one BD remaster in one announcement day would be disappointing
Please be patient. We’re working hard at getting the updates out.
Thanks FREDO!
So Fredo is this like a couple of hours thing or what type of time frame are we looking at here?
Thought they release it on the 17th?
Come on, guys. I don’t work for Criterion. lol
Just chill – it’s already 10pm in NY. I’m sure Criterion has gone home. Hopefully they’ll release some news tomorrow.
Maybe their Hawaiian office will put up the new releases.
Hawaiian office has been closed since June due to the pineapple shortage.
Damn!
I hear it’s been relocated to the Phillippines.
No, it got outsourced to India.
User: They couldn’t afford it, too many people have been doing it already. And we all know China’s booked up.
Ahh, then we’re all screwed.
That’s just what we need, more Criterion Bollywood films.
Hey hey now Fredo — no shortage of pineapples here in Hawaii ! ;~D
This is an urgent post from the Mike Spence of the future: I am disappointed with the new releases!!
Thanks future Mike Spence. I knew it.
Yeah, somehow I could’ve predicted that, Mike Spence from the future!
haha
Ah future Mike – it was YOU – why did you send Nicholas Cage to the cutting room floor – and give his part to Christoph Waltz in the Green Hornet?!?
Colin B.
Wow my post makes me look like a loser. You see, along with my Christmas gifts, my brother always gets me somthing. I have to let him know now before he returnes from his vacation back to college. For some odd reason, I can never get ahold of him when he is at college.
