You all ask for new and interesting stuff and yet completely ignore the fact that two three movie sets were announced this month: Lonesome and the two other movies on there, and the Norman Mailer set. How do these releases not reflect exactly what you’re asking for?
My thoughts exactly! Or maybe people will just never be happy til we have Badlands and Andrei Rublev blus. Although whining about Andrei Rublev has been strangely absent lately…

I peaked inside of the homes of a few hipsters late at night and observed several Harold and Maude themed garden parties and concluded their obsession with Ashby’s film was slightly inappropriate. :)
Cat Stevens, a suicidal Bud Cort in a suit, and weirdass relationship…
^ THOSE ARE NOT HIPSTERS!
Here are some hipsters:
Actually Drunk, they’re both hipsters.
In the first picture, the scarves are the dead give away.
^ Yeah, but the first picture is more like Disney Channel’s idea of hipster.
Also, I went to school in Athens, GA, where the hipsters are dirtier than anywhere else!
The Wes Anderson hipsters vs. the Kesha hipsters. I’d watch that fight.
those are hipsters? they look like douche bags
Is there a difference? ;p
I would watch any fight involving hipsters. Would be good for a laugh.
“Also, I went to school in Athens, GA, where the hipsters are dirtier than anywhere else!”
Maybe I’m not at the right places in Athens, but Atlanta has some grimey looking kids at parties.
Pshh… Atlanta is just a suburb of Athens!
But, yeah, Atlanta hipsters are lot more hardcore than Athens ones. Athens hipsters are afraid of Atlanta hipsters!
Also, I didn’t realize you lived in Atlanta!! I thought you lived in England!
“^ Yeah, but the first picture is more like Disney Channel’s idea of hipster.”
That’s what most hipsters in LA look like.
Hipsters aren’t dirty. Hippies are dirty.
to me LA hipsters are like christopher cross meets the early 90’s… and then there are the legions of nick cave worshipers
The first group photo is more hipster-adjacent. They have some of the most attainable aesthetic parts but flushes out what actually makes hipsters. They like their choices without any irony or intend on directing shock-value.
/a good friend did her senior thesis on hipsters and I feel like I know way too much about this subculture
To be honest, I’m a moderate hipster myself.
Oh geez! . . . somebody just bump that old hipster thread and get it over with.
I’ve never understood the hate for traditional “hipster” types…I hate the word. I don’t even get it. But most of my friends have always liked fashion and underground music/art….so maybe I’m right there with all of them.
Fashion is stupid.
And, yeah, I have no idea why I thought you lived in England, Keldon!
On the Waterfront. Called it.
Boy I fucked that one up.
A triple post.
On the Waterfront – really? That’s an interesting acquisition. Has this not been released on BD yet?
