i’m not sure coherence is always a high priority for him lol
^ Do you like David Lynch, Ruby? I can’t decide if you do or not.
LOL doofu. i enjoy most of his films. mulholland drive and host highway are my favorites
Oh ok well good! I had just decided that you didn’t like him! :P
What about “The Stright Story”?……that’s the most “un lynch” of Lynch films 4real,The Elephant Man is great 2 and it “feels” still like a Lynch film
agggggh the elephant man! love it so much i can’t bear to watch it again. yes, i’d agree those films are coherent. also i meant to write LOST hwy above :\
I only really like 3. Eraserhead, The Elephant Man, and Dune. I sometimes have an appreciation for Blue Velvet and Wild at Heart, but it comes and goes.
I think IFC has Lost Highway.
Or something.
I don’t know.
Yes Ruby u must now watch it on loop with Anthony Hopkins tear fallin with the close up over and over again bwahahahahaha!
And DFFOO must nuke any copies of “Jeanne Dielman, 23 quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles”…..just cause
And btw,I’m looking forward 2 the “rumored” Criterion double release this Christmas of Sister Act and Sister Act 2:back in the habit" released in a double pack on blu "Che"style ;)
Blue Velvet and M/ Drive are 2 me his best, ill take elephant man over eraser head although I respect eraser head for many reasons 4 what it is.Wild at Heart is a halious mess 2 me with a campy nic cage(hey that’s a good thing)and dafoe.haven’t seen lost highway in a long ass time so I won’t speak on that….twin peeks is interesting 2.
i’m not sure lost highway is strictly coherent but that doesn’t really matter to me. it’s a wonderfully twisted neo noir. wild at heart is a black comedy in my book. and i’ve had jeanne dielman for like 6 months and still haven’t watched it :( i remember the drama between u guys over that one lol
Lol u have it but haven’t watched it? Yo when u check it out let me know what u think
And I’m just fuckin with DFFOO,he was pretty cool about it actually and inquired me about it,it was the others that was catchin’ feelings over it.
On a sidenote I believe I gave it 3stars,would I ever watch it again? Most likely a" HELLLLLL NO" would be my response
Drunken Father Figure of Old
^ At first I was gonna act surprised that you think that, but now that I think about it… it really is the only coherent Lynch film!
