I’ve always wanted Criterion to do one; it’s not that I’ve got an iPhone, or anything, but just the idea of there being one would be cool. Direct access to The Auteurs would be awesome as hell, especially if you could deal with the forum.
A checklist is not a bad idea. I wrote one of those out on my own, but it would be nice to have one handy at all times.
I’m not sure what else it could do; maybe it could…hmmm….I don’t know. I guess just post new info and updates about upcoming releases, but that’s pretty much a given.

I don’t have an iPhone, but I would get one for something like this. Imagine if Kino and other companies did it, too . . . I would never get any work done.
It would need to have trailers for all of the movies. Each release would have it’s own page that would give you all the basic information found on the site. There would also need to be a list page where you could simply tap and the movie would be added to your collection. Then have some way to show all of the spines you currently own on some kind of “My Criterion Shelf” and you could post this to wherever and show off. I kind of really want this application.
Sean, that would be bad-arse. Remember when Criterion used to arrange movies by topic on the front of their old site? That was cool as hell. Wish they still did that…
