I wish back in the day they released VHS/DVD combo packs for before I had a DVD player. Nothing worse than having to upgrade your collection when you upgrade your hardware.
I look at the DVD/BD combo packs the same way. A lot of people don’t have a BD player yet because there isn’t much incentive for them to get one since they probably don’t have a nice home theater system, but as home theater setups become more affordable, they eventually will purchase one, and DVD/BD combo packs helps alleviate a HUGE problem down the line — upgrading your collection to fit the current format standard.
Right.
Bluray does not motivate me to upgrade like DVD did. The technological improvements are not significant enough for me to invest the money. Plus, I would not be able to stand an entire collection of DVDs mixed in with the ugly, blue bluray boxes. Moviestop is trying to push DVDs out and I really hope they stop. I will never switch if I don’t have to.
Yeah I really hate the bluray boxes! How do most of y’all do it? Do you mix the blurays in with the dvd’s or keep them seperate? Because I don’t really want to do either!

I guess I shouldn’t say that I don’t understand why they make combo packs ($), but just that I find it annoying.
