Thank you for posting! As someone who is going to be attempting crowdfunding in the very near future, it’s nice to read about other independent filmmaker’s experiences in raising money in this fashion.
Right on, Follow My Film. Keep up the independent spirit.
Man, i could have gone all week without an Abba song in my head.
Thanks a lot, Anonymouse. I’ll get you for that.
Thanks, Charles! Let me know if you ever have any questions about IndieGoGo. As you read, my experience with them has been very good overall.
Anonymouse, perhaps I should have made the ABBA video my “pitch video” on my campaign site…
And Thank You too, Superkal!!! I really appreciate the encouragement! Way cool of you…

I have one, two indeed, crowdfunding experiences. Italian audience is not ready for this new production form but I’m trying hard. My last attempt is SPOT US platform, hope I’ll succed.
Hey, Narda. I totally understand your situation in Italy. Believe me, people in the US are not quite ready for crowdfunding either. One of my biggest challenges was to educate people regarding how it works…
Keep it up!!!
woah, I had never heard of crowdfunding before, what a great concept, one that makes me reconsider a lot of things!!
Good luck and I enjoyed reading your experience.
Thanks, C.
Yeah, crowdfunding is exploding. Since I launched my campaign at the start of October, there have been nearly 3,000 additional campaign launches on IndieGoGo alone! It’s nuts…

Get it while the getting’s good. Once crowdfunding is at the YouTube level of prominence, yes, everybody wanting to shoot a Monster Party is going to be asking for funds to buy the cardboard.
