Definitely a pleasure to see this after the disappointing Life Aquatic. I loved the story and the cinematography, in all its Wes Anderson colorful glory. I’m glad he’s contracted with Criterion to have all his films get the treatment, which they so deserve. Perhaps one of America’s top three auteurs.
I’m excited too. It’s my second favorite Wes Anderson behind Tenenbaums as well.
My ranking is 1) Tanenbaums 2) Rushmore 3) Darjeeling. But it was tough for me to decide which film garnered the 2nd place slot.
Ha i get that same battle for the number two spot between Rushmore and Darjeeling.
I don’t understand why Darjeeling is so hated by Wes fans. I think it’s him in his top form since Tenenbaums. Although I like Life Aquatic it’s my least favorite of Wes’s films and I think Darjeeling is worlds better.
Hidden Behind the Screen
I just wanted to exclaim that to the world. I’m so excited. I love that film. My second favorite Wes Anderson behind the Tenenbaums.
Feel free to take the conversation wherever you please from there…I just really wanted to bring that to your attention.
