It’s Camille Saint Saens’ Carnival of The Animals:The Aquarium.
Saint Saen’s ethereal orchestral piece is incorporated to beautiful effect in this film,
but what I heard on the trailer was all acoustic guitar, which is probably Leo Kotke’s work.
Don’t know the song, though.
Sorry about that. I didn’t see the trailer. How do you access it?
I know Camille Saint Saens. Its a different trailer than you are thinking -

Like Doctor Lemonglow mentions, I think it may be Leo Kotke – but what song and what album?
My recollection is that the Kotke song is titled “Enderlin,” which he wrote and performed.
Yeah, I figured that would be it. Too bad I can’t seem to find a full version of the song ANYWHERE..
I got it off a bit torrent. Go to Pirate Bay and search for Days of Heaven. Whole soundtrack should be on there.
The trailer on this site is more like a clip from the film.
The song is by Leo Kottke and is called “The Train and the Gate: From Terry’s Movie”
I went through the same thing trying to figure out what it was called because it’s not on the soundtrack. He also did another song that didn’t make it into the film. Any way look that song up and I’m sure you’ll get it. You should just check out all of Leo Kottke’s stuff at the same time because it’s incredible.
Here’s a good youtube video of it.

You can hear the song in the background of the trailer on this website. What is it? Has it ever been released in any form?
I dont think it is on the soundtrack?!
