Brady, if you didn’t love Dazed and Confused, I’d be surprised. It was my first Criterion, and I’m incredibly proud to own it. You should get it. :)
And the Slacker Criterion is AMAZING! There’s no reason to not buy that one! It has SO MUCH! :D

Any problems with the transfer? Both are anamorphic, yeah?
Brady, well, Slacker was shot in full frame, so it’s non-animorphic, of course, but Dazed is. Both transfers are the best you’re going to see on SD.

So with Universal releasing a Dazed and Confused Blu-ray soon, I guess Criterion doesn’t have the rights to re-release a Blu edition? I really want their edition in Blu.
^ Not sure. Universal and Criterion both had DVD version available simultaneously, so it’s possible that there will be something similar with the BD.

@Marshmeli… Criterion is also hinting at a Blu release of Fear and Loathing soon, which just recently came out on Blu from Universal… so I’d think it’s likely that we’ll see a Dazed and Confused Criterion Blu sometime in the third quarter of 2011 (at least it better be likely… I’d kill for that).

Hm, I really hope there is going to be a blu ray release of that film and it isn’t just a vague teaser. I’m surprised I never got around to subscribing to the newsletter before. I’ll do that now.
I always thought that Dazed was just an “ok” film..I like American Graffiti a lot better

I loved Slacker- it’s one of my favorite movies. I was wondering if I would like Dazed and Confused as well, and if I should buy the Criterion version. I also want to own Slacker and was wondering if the Criterion for that was good as well.
