Wouldn’t Subvex know or maybe you can contact the people from Straight 8? They’re on Garage…
Also, ask Luis A., he must know someone who can help.
I know Rocky Mountain Film Lab does most everything and since they’re one of the few labs left in the world that handles processing of old film, they work with international clients.
As for European labs, I have no idea. Obviously if you were in LA there’s tons of places that telecine 8mm (such as Yale).
I sent that link off to my coworker, Santino, thanks. I am still searching, though, so if anyone else has ideas, holler!

^ yay, Jesse! :)
DiB, do you have contacts from the Middle East on vimeo? Because I have at least one if not a few more…
If you don’t let me know and I can write them.
Just thought of that…
Roy Rezaali compiled that list. Maybe he can help you. He’s on Facebook here
Thank you Jesse. I was thinking of PMing you specifically, but I also figured having this posted publicly could be helpful for other people. I probably should have done both, haha!

Hope it helps!
You can also find me here… :)
That list needs to be updated, some more addresses for Super 8 Labs

Hello folks,
a coworker has inquired to me how to get some old 8mm footage he has been keeping around digitized. I think if I were in the US I would have better luck searching but I do not even know where to start over here, so…
Does anyone know where I can get 8mm footage digitized in either Europe, South Africa, or the Middle East? Do you know how much it should cost? Are some places better than others?
I have some 16mm film of my own back in the US, and I guess I should digitize it at some point, but I kind of like keeping it around. I am interested in exploring film more in the future (as best it lasts) but I have not followed up anytime in the past couple of years because I’ve been so busy getting other things together and working all the way in the Middle East. Anyway, it would still be nice to have an idea of whom I could send the film to if the necessity arises.
