Django?

Wasn’t “Inglourious Basterds” Tarantino’s remake of “Once Upon a Time in the West”? Not that I am not interested in Tarantino’s own Spaghetti Western – but how many remakes are par for the course, so to speak?

It shared some stylistic elements and an in-joke at the beginning, but it could in no way be considered a remake. (not even of the original film called “Inglorious Bastards” from what I understand.)
