Not a chance in the world. You really think Carey Mulligan will even be nominated? That’s going way too far.
Albert Brooks, however, is a huge possibility. I don’t think he’ll win though.
I think the one shot this movie has with the Academy is Albert Brooks. He’ll be going up against von Sydow and Plummer so I’m assuming he sure as hell won’t win. Regardless, I loved Drive.
Unless you’ve seen Von Sydow’s performance, how can you even say?
Not sure anyone deserves to be nominated, especially Mulligan. I think she’s a talented actress but the role is pretty average. Not especially well written.

I watched Drive last night, and the thing that stood out in this already brilliant film, are the supporting turns, by Bryan Cranston, Ron Perlman, Albert Brooks, and Carey Mulligan. I also loved Ryan Gosling’s performance and think it deserves a nomination, but he plays it so low key (except when he’s stomping some guys head into mince meat) that he won’t win. Albert Brooks though, should be nominated, and should win.
