i saw some youtube spoiler and it was something silly.

I loved that the line was so drowned out. It helped bring the movie back to the title; the line was “lost in translation” from the characters on screen to the real life audience. I took it to mean that a movie is just a movie, and one has to experience life to see the truths of it.

pretty cool I think (my personal favorite movie ever, although I would never argue that it’s the best film ever made)

I honestly didn’t like this movie. It was watchable and more or less enjoyable, but what a rediculous and Amero-centric vision of Japan. That’s what I really got from this movie…

Life’s fleeting and unexpected moments, and how they shape our lives until we die. That’s what this film is really about. A masterpiece of subtlety.

I heard the audio and it did sound a bit like it, but I’m not completely sure. Anyway, we’ll never know and that makes it perfect.
