Guys and Gals, I am going to create a vimeo channel for our project tonight. Will post the link here when it’s done. Please feel free to start posting some clips, or anything on video related to the project, whenever you want to.

I think it looks great! Whatever photo we use on the channel we could probably use on the project page (unless I’ve mistaken your use of terminology).

I know that Roboko is working on something and I’m curious to see what it will look like when it is completed. Then we can decide as a group what works best, maybe both in different functions — I’ve seen the beginnings of what she is doing and it’s very different from my image, thinking it could be perfect as a logo…? At any rate, it’s cool and graphic and nothing like my image, really interested to see it when it is done.

Are you going to use actors in your short? If not, I’d suggest editing some audio/music to emphasize what we see on the screen.

Thanks for your suggestions… I’ll take into consideration, right now only the intro. has music but that’s not to say that I won’t use more for the rest. As for audio, there is ambient sound in both parts that don’t have music — have you heard it? Otherwise, I suppose I’ll have to turn up the volume.
Please do not consider any of these pieces of my segment completed, they are definitely subject to revision, especially when I put all of them together and see how it all plays out. But I just wanted to get something out there for now so we’ve got more than our conversations happening on the project, i.e. something more tangible. They are all pieces of a work in progress, for certain.

Well up until now, we’ve been approving entire Acts. That way we can have the same deadlines for everyone.
Go ahead and send Luis the materials for the project page/ Vimeo channel.
If we don’t have Roboko’s script by Sunday, we’ll vote on the other two and PolarisDiB’s pitch.
OK, I heard from Roboko and if she isn’t ready by the end of the day, she said go ahead and send my image and whatever else is needed to Luis for the Garage page.
So anticipate that happening between tonight and tomorrow…. Yay! :)

Tomorrow, we’ll begin voting on the two Act 3 scripts and PolarisDiB’s Act 5 proposition. The remaining Act 3 script still unsubmitted will be listed as “delayed” unless submitted before tomorrow evening.

One thing to note however is that Roboko’s submission is still pending. In other words, you should wait until that script has been submitted before voting or, alternatively, you may alter your vote at a later date so long as the vote is still underway.

Since no one else has put themselves forward as a candidate for this position, the vote is “yes/ no.”
You can submit your vote however you like (we’re not as uptight as those Director’s Cup guys around here) but please use the above format.
The minimum number of votes needed to pass is 4, which shouldn’t be hard to obtain given that we have eight people making segments. My vote is only cast in the case of a tie. If the minimun number of notes isn’t met, votes will need to be recast. Anyone can vote provided they have a good general knowledge of what we’re voting on, there is no need to contribute a segment to the project.
@PolarisDiB: I still recommend that you read Roboko’s script (yet to be submitted) but I did count your vote. Also, you can’t vote for yourself and so I didn’t count “I vote yes for everything” as including Act 5 approval.

If you have any, we need stills from the set and clips from anything you’ve shot so far. Send them to Odilonvert so that she can include them in the Production Note and/ or upload them to our Vimeo channel. We’ll be getting a Project Page on Garage soon, so we need everything we can get.
Remember that you should be checking back here regularly for updates, this is very important.
I will be bumping this several times in the next 36 hours, so even if you’ve been living atop a tree for the last three weeks, you should have read it (unless there’s no WiFi in said tree).
One more thing: everyone should post here as soon as possible so that we know you’re still interested in the project. I’ve been noticing that posting has somewhat declined and that votes are barely getting the minimum number of ballots to pass. If you’re not interested in continuing with this project, please let me know. Otherwise, do try to be more engaged! This can only fly if everyone works together. You’ll be letting down the nine other members if you just flake out.

Remember that deadlines do exist and that we do actually want your films in eventually. Although it would be difficult to put a specific deadline on it, you should have your segments in within a reasonable period of time. So in other words, none of this “TBA Q3 2012” stuff.

I’d really like to get this page up in the next week, as I’m making the effort to get some clips done every week, it’d be cool if they existed somewhere closer to our threads than my website. :)
