Thank you Luis, looks fantastic!
All — going to update the table & google doc with the coding with the latest production note link. Will let you know when it’s ready…
Yeah I’ve sent her a message, no reply yet, her twitter is @DANDARATWEET by the way
Alrighty, I’ll make a doc, is there any time you want it by? And has a launch date for the website been decided on? Will it coincide with the indiegogo page?
Ooh, nice production note, the location shots are really cool. Although I’m not from America, I’m from London – UK, and they’re sixth-formers, and it’s not just the inferno but The Divine Comedy, sorry for not making those things apparent
Hey in reference to the logo design, also acknowledging the PN… I’ve noticed that pathways in, like, gardens is a recurrent imagery in our PNs. I think our logo might be there. I have an idea for a very stripped down, simple design I’ll try to put up soon.
I don’t know guys, maybe we should have a due date for graphic design submissions and anyone can participate (including, maybe, people not already part of the project?) in a week or two, and vote on them?
—PolarisDiB
Roboko — could you please send me a revision paragraph and I can ask Luis to update so it’s correct? Sorry about that…
Re: the doc, please make it as soon as you have a chance. That way we can get documentation on that while we’re all thinking about it (keeping the momentum from our meeting going).
For the launch of the website — when do you think would be a reasonable time? I’d say as soon as you can, that way you won’t be needing to think about it much when the Indiegogo site goes up. But I’m not sure where you are so I need your input on that…
DiB — that’s a great idea! Ok, so let’s make it next Friday maybe and vote on them then? Does that sound reasonable? I can put up a separate thread for that, and people can post their submissions there. I think we need to keep graphic submissions separate from pitches and scripts.
I’ll create the thread now, and if we need to change the date (give people more time), then I’ll do that.
Ok, I’ve created a logo submission thread.
I’ll also add this link to the our table.
Ok, the Google table doc is updated.
Google table doc updated again to reflect today’s vote.
Does everyone agree to doing our next meeting on Tinychat?
EDIT – TINYCHAT
I’m ok with it, but I think that at least three of us should “test drive” it before the actual meeting. We had enough problems with Skype last Sat.
Aside from me and Tremolo, anyone else game for testing Tokbox out sometime this weekend or some night this week? (I can’t do so before 10 pm PST if on the weekdays at night, though)
No ergodic cinema project talk will take place during the test drive, FYI — just fun chatting & socializing, ’k?
This whole tokbox thing seems confusing, though. Fuck. Maybe we should do tinychat or a site like that instead? This should be as simple as possible.
So try tinychat?
Yeah, let’s do that instead. The sign up process is super easy and you don’t have to download anything.
Ok, so you, me, and we need a third person too…
Anyone anyone?
I’ll test drive with you guys. When?
I’ll test drive with you guys. When?
Cool — um, what time you guys on? I think I’m behind you all, so later is better for me. You guys stay up late?
I stay up late, but I’d rather do it on a weekend when we can test it during the day. I am right next to my mom’s room and it would be hard to talk and her not hear me and wake up and shit like that. Or I could just text and test the video. I guess I’m game for whatever you guys feel like doing.
I can do it on Sunday at 11 am PST, does that work for you guys? Saturday in the day I won’t be around…
Tell me how it goes.
Logo by next Friday is great. I’ll have a few in by then. I have to admit, for a digital artist (in a sense……..) I’m really fundamentally behind on Photoshop fu. I only got that, like, make a new layer every new element you create thing down like a month ago. So don’t be expecting anything epic, just some simple designs.
—PolarisDiB
I’m not doing Photoshop at all! I’m just going to draw it, take a hi res pic, and post it. (The only thing I ever use Photoshop for, I only have it at work, is cleaning up and/or resizing old pics. Otherwise I know very little about it, not really that interested either as I am “old school” when it comes to drawing/painting).
The most important thing for printing is that they have a decent, hi res jpeg to work from (i.e. a good standard is 240 ppi (2040 × 2640 pixels), 8 1/2 × 11 — this can then be cut down to whatever size it needs to be printed at without it becoming pixelated… Well at least that’s how it works when you’re printing photos on paper, no designers I’ve worked with for photos have ever asked me for a Photoshop file. (Although they have asked for Illustrator when that is used, as in a map or other graphic designed via Illustrator).
I’m WAY more primitive here than you are in this respect, DiB, so don’t feel you have to do anything epic at all! :)
Well the reason why I’m a “digital artist” (in a sense) is because I cannot draw.
—DiB
Well that’s cool! I’ve no problem with that. You can do things I cannot do by being skilled at that! :)
BUMP — Tremolo and Bobby — time ok to test drive tinychat this Sunday (19th) @ 11 am PST?
ATTENTION: UPCOMING DEADLINES AND DATES
Due date for Logo submissions:
FRIDAY, JUNE 24th, end of day
VOTING for logos:
SUNDAY, JUNE 26th, end of day
Ergodic Cinema Project Funding Meeting:
SATURDAY, JUNE 25th, 10 am PST

Due date for Act III (Dylan), Act IV:
TUESDAY, JUNE 28th, 2011 end of the day
VOTING for scripts:
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 29th, end of day
I’ll be updating the table coding again today with all links (added the Funding thread), and also putting in some rows for due dates and meeting dates.
Yeah, that date and time sounds fine to me.
Cool!
Bobby? This date and time ok with you for our tinychat test drive (this Sunday at 11am PST)?
Unfortunately, that does not work for me. I will be working during that time, sorry. I am still up for it, if I can make it though.
Ok, I’ve updated the table coding on Google.
This is what it looks like rendered (on my page as well). I’ll be updating the meeting, submission and voting fields as we go on, but only to reflect upcoming ones so this table doesn’t become an encyclopedia (FYI I have not included our test driving meeting (Tremolo, Bobby and I) for this weekend because it isn’t settled yet with Bobby about time/date, but I will update so others can join if they want to once that is settled):
