Right then. Let’s start with Dylan. Dylan, what OS are you working in? Depending on the OS you may be able to reclaim the footage. I would like to know more information about how “the footage got wiped clean”. Did you delete it? Did it get corrupted? Let’s work this thing.

JP, do you need some money to do a casting call? When were you intending to shoot? Can your other performer(s) recommend somebody else?

Performers last minute I can’t do, but I’m going to be making calls

as far as money for casting call — not yet but I’ll keep you posted, however the hotel will do comp us for free and if any money can be thrown my way for that, that would be a huge help. I talked to several different hotels and all would charge me for a night’s stay to film there :(

I recieved another e-mail from Mosfilm and at the end I will have to pay $50 to exploit each high resolution image that they will provide me with :O)
We’ll search for some ways to gather the $400 we will need for this sequence and at the same time set everything up again for filming.

Alright everyone. I’ve updated the status table, see my profile for the entirety of it rendered, and the Google doc for coding if you want to put it on your own profile page to access links.

First, we are looking into some more funding potential, as soon and if those plans pan out, will let you know more details. In the meanwhile, congrats again to Dylan and Leefurfur for getting in their completed films. So far we have everyone still on board, busily trying to get their films made, pending funding or other situations that are causing delays. Yes, internet collaboration is SLOW even for small films like these, but I have to applaud all of you for staying the course and remaining committed to and passionate about this project.

So, regarding deadlines, I’ve given you all an extension (even DiB!), given the holiday season, to the end of January to complete your films (excepting Dandara for now). This is the schedule, taken from the status table:

Things I have to accomplish — write Roboko’s interview. Get a few more pics from Leefufur for his interview. Then they will ALL be completed with the exception of Dandara’s.

BUDGETS: NOTE that our getting additional funding needs to be accomplished and one of the possibilities we’re looking into REQUIRES budgets. SO PLEASE, if you have not done so already, GET YOUR BUDGET TO DiB.

Other stuff — as soon as you’re able, please post some clips to our vimeo and Garage pages (see links on my profile, bottom of status table), we need more content. This also ties in to getting more funding.

I think I’m going to have to crank out an edit for my VFX guy to work on this weekend, because it is really pressing for me to get it done. I’m a bit overwhelmed right now but there is nothing I can really do about it, so I’m riding the currents.

Well actually, if you want to start doing some of the behind the scenes stuff (that is, producer’s work), I have some research I haven’t gotten around to that I could push off on you. Some of it involves equipment rental and post-production studio companies in various areas, including your own, which may be very helpful information for you to learn about.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s dull work, but essential, and will help you learn networking and producing.
