Ryan if I had income and didn’t have to tap into my savings which are currently eating money, I’d buy that package in a heartbeat. Tell me what happens with that and if you’re still struggling to find a buyer later, maybe I’ll have an indication of better finances to come if not a job itself and we’ll work it out. However I don’t see that package going unnoticed for long after I comparison shopped and found the packages other venders are selling.
Well guys the hunt goes on for funding for Missing. We’re about to bid on a grant and will be using the IndieGoGo campaign money we received to fund the procedure. My short sits waiting quietly for news from across the world, I don’t know what’s going on with my VFX guy but he hasn’t been around lately and apparently is really stressed. Again, I could just post a lesser quality/choppy version of the final product but I am figuring I’ll only do that if I need to post it for further promotional purposes to keep the project going. With mine, Ryan’s, and Dandara’s segments that would make six of thirteen and we can use that as a new base level to start thinking about how to take the next step.

To recount what’s been happening this past week would be exhausting (admittedly not as exhausting as the last week was), suffice to say I’ve been working diligently on a funding opportunity and in the process have managed to get the project ‘out there’ so maybe interest will start rebuilding. I meant to have something for you guys yesterday but that didn’t work out, I’m juggling this project with several others, so keep an eye out for updates here and I hope to tell you all the next big step soon.

That’s an interesting name, Ryan, though it’s a little too medical for me. I keep thinking “melanoma.” Or, a term that describes annoyance or paranoia with all things “meta.”
Also, if you google that word, one of the first things that comes up is a suicide prevention website.
I’d be more in favor of having a name that sounds less like a condition…

I sold my camera package and will be shipping it out today. After they receive it and confirm that it works for them and they have no problems, I will buy the rest of my lenses and such. I talked to the people who own the house I will be shooting at to let them know that we will be starting soon so they are good on that front.

Ahoy! Alright, so I’ve been out of the loop for the past few months. I finished my web series which means that NOTHING is standing in the way of my segment now!
I completely finished storyboards and when I get home tomorrow, I will scan and upload those suckers online for you all. I am in the process of breaking it down into a shot list, prop list, etc. Basically, planning out the shoot. I feel confident that I can shoot it in 2 full days (10-12 hours each day) and spend another few weeks editing and scoring it.
Another mini-roadblock is that I purchased a new camera (Panasonic AF-100) and am currently selling my older Panasonic HVX-200. I am in the process of laying down $1,500 on lenses for my new camera so hopefully I can sell my HVX-200 sometime soon to pay for this (and if you are interested in buying this camera, check out http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?281372-Panasonic-HVX-200-w-bonus-16GB-P2-card ).
If I can’t sell my old camera soon, I will have to wait a few weeks for another paycheck or two to complete the lens purchase. BUT the obvious benefit of this is that the segment will look more polished and professional than I previously imagined! :D
So yeah, I’m hoping now that I have my previous assignments behind me, I can complete this sucker and we can be one step closer to the finished piece of art! Can’t wait!
