@ POLARISDIB – I will fix my budget then, to include post-production costs. I think I read in a post, when I first joined the EFP (Ergodic Film Project’s charming initials…), that the whole thing would be editted by the same persona/team. It did scare me, but I assumed it was a common an American Filmmaking rule. What about the info u requested for funding, should it be posted here, or sent to u via private message?
@ ANONIMOUSE – I think building community is one of the greatest features of our EFP. I can see this getting funds here in Brazil too, but after the first segments are released. Some press may speed up years of burocratic processes. The merit of the Project alone, won’t release it from a kafkian pattern.
EVERYONE – I think it would be great if we add each other in the instant message services we use. I will share mine here, I’ve got many, but as I have no web camera by now, Iuse googletalk chat most of the times. I’ll add the ones already posted in this thread. Best!

@Anonymouse — Hoping to get a Production Note 2 draft to you for review between today and tomorrow. I am thinking that I’ll refer people back to the relevant thread for pitch posting (with link to proper page), and include in detail Dandara’s script, but leave the links to Ryan’s and mine as is — this all to make the Production Note more succinct. I’ll also include a link to Dandara’s photos, as they are important for inspiration.
@PolarisDiB — thinking about the funding, and the rest of the details you will need as my script is pretty much done now. I’ll send you that stuff via email. Hope you are having fun in Scotland, love that country!

Sorry Gamgee, I didn’t see the second half of your post or didn’t read it correctly. Act 3 is sort of on hold but I’m encouraging everyone to get their pitches in as soon as possible. I haven’t placed a date yet for the Act 3 pitches (only the Act 2 scripts) because we don’t have the minimum number of people to hold a vote on them. We could just produce the three pitches we have for Act 3 but wouldn’t be able to vote on them because we have only three, in other words one per section (by section, I mean “A+C…”). So basically, we need two other people for each section so there is some choice on the vote.

Nah it’s a country, and there are four (Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland). Ooh wait, I think northern Ireland isn’t supposed to be part of Britain, only the UK. Weird.
Nearly done with my adaptation
As u all speak of the uk, I take some time to share news from the one and only empire of the Americas,… whose memoirs rotten under humidity and disdain… lol I feel quite dramatic this evening!
I may have found an actress, who could look good with my historic photos. I think I will use the ones who show only me and my parents, who are dead and (hopefully) won’t return to claim copyrights.
The actress will release me from a lot of pressure, and allow me to focus on what matters most. I will let u guys know when I get a definition. I have 3 more pictures to share. Will post the link here when I’m done. My uncle is searching for 1970’s pictures of him and my parents, which I’ll use to compose my analogic facebook. So I’m already working on my production of objects.
This afternoon I went to the Moreira Salles family institute, to watch again a Bresson movie (Les dames du bois de Boulogne) that had impressed me in my youth, and that I’m recalling now, as research my B&W references. It is located in the mansion of a banker’s family, which has produced 2 important Brazilian filmmakers – Walter Moreira Salles (Central Station and Motorcicle Diaries) and documentarist João Moreira Salles (Notícias de Uma Guerra Particular, co-Directed by Katia Lund).

@Roboko — Northern Ireland, hot topic politically. Geographically, it is a part of the isle of Ireland. Politically, it is a holdover from England’s imperialist days, when they had ALL of Ireland for a bit. I don’t think it’s considered on even footing with Scotland and Wales, though I could be wrong.
@Dandara — looks like your project is coming along, excited for you! Can’t wait till our films are “born” and start to be linked together, what fun!
I see, all I know about Ireland: Potato famine, Catholics vs. Protestant, Dubliners don’t like countryside folk, bloody sunday. Pitiful.

One important note (especially for Dandara) is that when you’re filming, be sure to get us some stills from the set. This would help out enormously with the project and getting our name out there. Just bring along a digital camera and shoot some stills around the set while you’re filming or your actors, etc.
We’ll be using the stills for production notes and if/when we get a project page here on Mubi/an external website of some kind if we’re still interested in going that route (it’ll be on the next vote).
