Aguirre, The Wrath of God
Aguirre, definitely. It’s a masterpiece but Fitzcarraldo isn’t too far behind in my view.

Little Dieter Needs to Fly – Underrated and by far my favorite.
Bad Lieutenant
Aguirre
Grizzly Man
I agree with Liubei. I hold Little Dieter Needs to Fly closest to my heart. I haven’t seen most of his movies, though. We all know he’s made a lot of them.
I haven’t cracked hard into Herzog yet but out of the several I’ve seen it’s Fitzcarraldo without a doubt.
Was really impressed with INCIDENT AT LOCH NESS. One of the funniest mock-umentaries to come out and it hardly ever gets talked about.
Land of Silence and Darkness
What are there like 20 Herzog threads now?

The White Diamond
very impressed with Woyzeck but my favourite has to be Fitzcarraldo, it seems tobe everything about Herzog distilled into one film

For the longest time its been Aguirre and probably still is, but Stroszek is starting to sneak up on it.

Haven’t seen nearly enough to make an informed decision, but I wasn’t instantly biased for Aguirre because it was on the shelf in one of those awesome old gigantic boxes. What are those called? (roughly about twice the size of a normal VHS)
Mark Maynard
