No film SHOULD be re-made.
It’s sometimes nice to see a completely different take on a film (e.g. A Fistful of Dollars as a remake of Yojimbo) but even then, it’s not an original idea – and a filmmaker with an original idea is a better filmmaker in my eyes.
I agree, none, but Fantastic Voyage would be okay
there are no original ideas.
there are only sloppy joes.
What’s the need of making the same film again?
they should remake the vanishing (1993)
now that harry potter is over they should remake them all over again. think of all the money they will make!
NONE
but then Tim Burton would be jobless
I would love a Cronenbergian remake of The Creature From the Black Lagoon.
Judicial Joe
I think most everyone here would agree that remakes tend to be worse than the originals. However, some films have great premises that aren’t fine-tuned into great movies. A good example is the Coen Brothers’ TRUE GRIT.
What are your films that you’d like to see remade into richer versions of the original? Mine would be Cronenberg’s SCANNERS.
