I thought Kingdom Of Heaven and Four Feathers were good for what they were…
I guess a lot of people hate 40s-60s monster movies… I love em

Amazon women on the Moon and Career Opportunities. I’ll throw in Last Action Hero so you all can laugh at me, but I think it’s a great film.

The Fountain, i love it!

Karate Kid II, Mars Attacks!

Jan, I thought the Fountain was sublime, if it wasn’t for the bloated and ridiculous ending that sucked the enjoyment out of it. It went for the best movie of the year, to something i’m afraid to watch again. (and i have, with the same result.)

I really love M. Night Shyamalan movies, and – may the movie gods help me – The Happening. I actually tend to not hate most movies, though that does not mean I love them all. There are plenty of bad films to go around. I’m just not that hard of most movies. I must be a push over.

I’m happy this is kind of anonymous, because I would hate to be called out by name. Here’s a list of movies I love that a lot of people hate (most of them Hollywod fare): The Matrix sequels, the Star Wars prequels, Magnolia, Michael Bay movies, Across the Universe, Kevin Smith movies, 25th Hour, Vanilla Sky, A.I. Artificial Intelligence, and so on and so on.

all of my friends hate punch-drunk love. i love it.

Barry: “I’m lookin’ at your face and I just wanna smash it. I just wanna fuckin’ smash it with a sledgehammer and squeeze it. You’re so pretty.”

Lena: “I want to chew your face, and I want to scoop out your eyes and I want to eat them and chew them and suck on them.”

A.I. Artificial Intelligence…all the way!! It’s one of the few films I hold dear because I love it so much and no one else seems to have much sympathy for it.

“Big Trouble in Little China.” And “Fire Walk With Me” is one of the most terrifying films I have ever seen.

I doubt anyone has seen it, but Jeepers Creepers 2. It sounds so stupid to suggest it, but in terms of B-Horror this is one of my absolute favorites. For those of you who like horror as a genre I recommend giving this one a try with the forewarning that it is perhaps better to not see the far inferior Jeepers Creepers 1.

2 sexually explicit films that people just can’t seem to see past the notoriety around them:

The Brown Bunny

I think it’s an excellent film (better than Buffalo ‘66, which received quite a bit of acclaim). Very well shot, edited and conceived. And it’s a Do-it-yourself inspiration, Gallo pretty much handling all of the major tasks himself.

9 Songs

A strong offering from Winterbottom. The structure is an interesting experiment (and the music actually was the weakest component for me). Another accomplished DIY example, but not as impressive as Gallo’s.

House of 1000 Corpses

Every time I watch Miami Vice I realise that it’s a really disappointing movie, but I still have this desire to watch it again. And a few people have mentioned Punch-Drunk Love, but I can’t understand this. A good friend and I have agreed that in our shared world this is the Best Film Ever.

Troma films, most of my friends don’t get it at all. I love them, I’ve yet to see one I don’t like. Short Bus, it got flak from having actual sex in it. I think people who aren’t intelligent won’t see past that, I think it’s a great film with really great acting and interesting characters.

One more addition: Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man… It’s a guilty pleasure.

I actually like most of the ones people post on here like the Jeepers Creepers films and Zodiac, The Prestige, and The Fountain, etc.

But a couple of my guilty pleasures are Star Wars Episodes 1-3. I know they are poor but I like Star Wars so much, I don’t really care if they’re bad, because to me bad star wars is better than no star wars.

I also like the movies Legend directed by Ridley Scott, Dragon Heart and Willow.

Childhood favorites of mine.

Masked and Anonymous. I don’t care what it is, if Penelope’s in it, I watch it. And jerk off to it, ha ha j/k.

Someday it will be regarded as a masterpiece.

I fell in love with The Fountain. I say with a class and out of the 14 students I was the only one who like it. Also I love bad 80’s movies, like Howard the Duck, Legend and Willow. I grew up on those films. Even if they were bad, the were my introduction into another world, outside of the redneck south in Tennessee.

I absolutely love Once Upon a Time In Mexico, by Robert Rodriguez. His films tend to get a lot of flack ( some of it, perhaps, deserved, but certainly not all of it), but that film stands up on its feet and shouts that it exists. It is such a big film, flowing, creating its own hyper-kinetic, hyper-realistic universe, in which everyone is in a damn action movie. I love that freaking film, no matter how many people despise it, and Robert Rodriguez.
