Many years ago at the New Yorker, Fabiano Canosa double-featured “Cobra Woman” and “Duck Soup.” It was perfection.

in 1980 I was 17 and saw Altered States with my girlfriend. It was very powerful and I could not imagine any movie being able to follow it. The Elephant Man came on next and it ended up being a perfect follow up and one of the most satisfying movie nights of my life.
