Lucky Mckee – Angela Bettis
Coppola and Roth only were together in Youth Without Youth, but their connection in this film is really great. We can see Dominic Matei like the Coppola’s more personal character in his filmography, and Roth personify him of a spectacular way.
Thanks, Pialat! I guess there needn’t be a long-term relationship between director and actor; sometimes, one film is all it takes for lightning to strike.
Predictable, but here goes:
Kazan-Brando
Cukor-K. Hepburn
Rafelson-Nicholson
Schlesinger/Richardson-Courtenay (cheating a bit here as both directors are great with this actor)
W. Allen-W. Allen – doesn’t Allen actually invent himself in those movies of his he stars in as well?
Ozu and Ryu.
