There are two thoughts here:
1.conflict leads to violence.
Inner conflict does not necessary lead to violence, it can be the motivation to create (Arnheim).
2.Alcoholism leads to violence.
Small children beat each other up, are they alcoholics? No alcohol = no violence?
I just booted up a G&T and I find this article way outside the film.
